This is the first Top Italian Scientists, TIS Report and shows the updated distribution of the top 100 scientists currently in the TIS list, all having an h-index larger or equal to 60. Half of the listed scientists have their primary affiliation abroad; therefore it is possible to draw a direct comparison between those scientists working abroad and those working in Italy according to their age, sex and scientific area . Here we focus on Computer Scientists. This article forms the prototype for all future TIS reports, which is the new online publication platform tailored to meet the needs of researchers!
